We accept contactless payments, including Apple Pay* and Google Pay on all of our buses for transactions up to £45. Ask your driver for your ticket as usual then present your card or device to the card reader to pay.
* Apple Pay is also accepted in 'Express Transit' mode so you
don't have to worry about Face ID or Touch ID. This can be
set up in the Wallet app on your device.
Single tickets
Single Tickets - Potteries Area
Our adult single fare for most journeys wholly within the Potteries area is £2.00 for adults or £1.50 for children (under 19). Longer journeys, including those outside the Potteries area, may cost more - for more information call us on 01782 332337 or ask your driver.
Young people aged 5 to 18 (inclusive) can get a reduced fare - prices start at £1.60. Remember to ask the driver for a 'young person' ticket to obtain the discount. Children aged under 5 are entitled to travel for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
Single Tickets - Other Areas
Outside of the Potteries area single tickets are priced according to the distance that you travel. You can ask the driver, or if you want to know in advance call us on 01782 332337 (Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent) or 01270 252970 (Cheshire).
Travelling on service 84X?
Use the myTrip app to buy 10 journeys for only £15! Tickets are valid for up to a month from purchase.
Return tickets
Network Return Tickets
These tickets are available to make a round trip to any point on our network (excluding Alton Towers) and can be bought on any bus. You can change buses on your journey if you need to.
Tickets cost only £6.00 for an adult, £5.00 for a student (ID is required) or £3.90 for a young person.
These tickets (excluding Early Bird Return tickets) can also be bought on the myTrip app.
Crewe & Nantwich Return Tickets
These tickets are available to make a round trip between any two points in the Crewe and Nantwich area, and can be bought on any bus that operates in this area. You can change buses on your journey if you need to.
Tickets cost only £4.70 for an adult, £4.10 for a student (ID is required) or £3.30 for a young person.

Just £3.80 for an adult or £2.20 for a young person for unlimited travel in the Uttoxeter zone, including Beamhurst, Bramshall, Spath and Stramshall.
Uttoxeter Day Tickets are valid on services 32, 32A and 32X, and on Chaserider services 405 and 841.
'Duo' tickets for two people travelling together
Network Duo Tickets
These tickets allow unlimited travel for two passengers travelling together across the D&G Bus network, excluding Alton Towers.

Weekly, four-weekly and annual tickets
Network Weekly and Four-Weekly Tickets
These tickets offer unlimited travel across the D&G Bus network, excluding Alton Towers, and can be bought on any bus.
Weekly tickets cost only £21.00 for an adult or £15.50 for a student (ID is required) or a young person. Tickets are valid on the day of issue plus the following six days.
Four-Weekly tickets cost only £70.00 for an adult or £49.00 for a student (ID is required) or a young person. Tickets are valid on the day of issue plus the following 27 days.
Annual tickets cost only £700.00 for an adult or £490.00 for a student (ID is required) or a young person.
Holders of Adult Network Weekly Tickets bought on the bus can have a young person accompany them for no additional charge (this offer is not valid for two young people travelling together).
Network Weekly, Network Four-Weekly and Network Annual tickets can also be bought through the myTrip app.
Crewe & Nantwich Weekly and Four-Weekly Tickets
These tickets offer unlimited travel across the Crewe & Nantwich zone, and can be bought on any bus.
Crewe & Nantwich Weekly tickets cost only £19.50 for an adult, and Crewe & Nantwich Four-Weekly tickets cost only £60.00 for an adult. Young people and students should buy the Network Weekly or Four-Weekly ticket.

Student fares
We offer student single fares to anyone who holds a valid student ID card (from any college or university) - this gives around 20% discount on the adult fares. Show your ID card to the driver and ask for a 'student single' when boarding the bus.
We also offer unlimited travel to students and under 19's for 7 consecutive days for £15.50 or 28 consecutive days for £49 - these tickets can be purchased from drivers on all of our buses using contactless or cash or through the myTrip app.
Or you can save and buy a year's travel for £490 exclusively through the myTrip app.
Note that student tickets are not valid on service X41 between Stafford, Uttoxeter and Alton Towers, or on service 32A for travel to or from Alton Towers,.
Stoke Smart tickets
These tickets are available from the driver and allow unlimited travel on all operators' bus services* in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle Borough (except football services). Prices are as follows:

The Knot is a ticket valid for a day's travel wholly within Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent* on buses operated by Arriva Midlands, Chaserider, D&G Bus, Diamond Bus East Midlands (including buses between Burton and Swadlincote), First Potteries, National Express West Midlands and Select Bus Services. Prices are as follows:

Keele Key tickets
Keele Key is an exclusive ticket for Keele University students and staff which allows travel on both D&G Bus and First Potteries services.
To purchase a ticket you must show a valid Keele Card to the driver - your Keele Card should also be shown each time you use the ticket. Prices are as follows:
Keele Key Day - £4.00

Keele Key Week - £15.00
valid for travel on the day of issue plus the following six days

Peak Plus Xtra tickets
The PeakPlus Xtra is our day ticket in conjunction with High Peak Buses and TM Travel, which is valid on all services operated by High Peak and TM Travel services within Derbyshire, and D&G Bus services 19 and 108. The Peak Plus Xtra zone includes travel with High Peak Buses to and from Macclesfield, Derby, Buxton and Matlock and with TM Travel to and from Sheffield. Prices are as follows:

Travelling within the Greater Manchester area
We issue and accept Get Me There tickets and System One Travelcards for unlimited travel across the Greater Manchester area. They are valid on the following D&G Bus services:
• Service 88 - valid between Wilmslow (Bank
Square) and Altrincham (Interchange)
• Service 130 - valid between Wilmslow (Bank
Square) and Wythenshawe Hospital
Please note that due to high rates of fraudulent transactions taking place we are unable to accept contactless payments when purchasing a Get Me There ticket, but we still accept them for System One tickets.
igo cards can be used to obtain a discounted single fare, which can be paid using contactless or cash.
TfGM Our Pass and WCTS cards are valid for free travel within the Greater Manchester area. WCTS cards are not valid before 9.30am Monday to Friday.

Concessionary travel for the elderly or disabled
We accept English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) passes for free travel on all of our bus services.
Please note that the rules on this scheme vary from area to area, and depend on where you board the bus (not where your pass is issued). The rules are set by local authorities - here is a brief guide:
Passengers boarding the bus in Cheshire East:
• Free travel to all ENCTS pass holders after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
• Passengers with an ENCTS pass issued by Cheshire East Council are entitled to a 50% reduction on the adult single fare before 9.30am Monday to Friday. This fare can be paid by contactless or cash.
• Passengers with an ENCTS pass issued by Cheshire East Council are entitled to free travel between 11.00pm and midnight Monday to Friday.
• Visually impaired passengers with an ENCTS pass in a special orange wallet may travel for free at all times.
Passengers boarding the bus in Cheshire West and Chester:
• Free travel to all ENCTS pass holders after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
• Visually impaired passengers with a specially issued ENCTS pass may travel for free at all times.
Passengers boarding the bus in Staffordshire (excluding Stoke-on-Trent):
• Free travel to all ENCTS pass holders after 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
• Passengers with a disabled ENCTS pass are entitled to free travel at all times.
• Passengers with an ENCTS pass issued by Staffordshire County Council or Stoke-on-Trent City Council can pay a reduced fare before 9.30am Monday to Friday. This fare can be paid by contactless or cash.
